Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Per saltire Gules and Vert a saltire Azure fimbriated Or overall in pale a clenched gauntlet of the last.  Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "STRIKE SWIFTLY" in Black letters.

Symbolism
Yellow and green are the colors used for Armor.  The red background and blue fimbriated saltire were suggested by the flag of the State of Georgia and designate the home of the organization.  The gauntlet is symbolic of the force and effectiveness of Armor, and it also reflects the unit's motto.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 30 March 1971.
